Teaches Research Methods, Biopsychology, and Health Psychology. Research interests include the relationships between stress and cardiovascular disease, blood pressure and pain sensitivity, health behavior and cancer prevention, and the placebo effect. Recent publications include “Affect and exercise: Positive affective expectations can increase post-exercise mood and exercise intentions” in the journal Annals of Behavioral Medicine. Personal interests include gardening, backpacking, and playing with her dogs.

Dr. Janet Pietrowski
Professor of Psychology; Psi Chi Faculty Supervisor
Ph.D. Eastern Michigan University
Teaches Abnormal Psychology, Psychotherapy, Child Psychopathology, History of Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Ethics in Psychology, and Learning Theory.  Main areas of interest are behavioral psychology, general clinical psychology, and clinical child psychology. Personal interests include reading and cooking.

Teaches General Psychology, Statistics for Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Cognitive Science Lab. Research interests include language and cognition, discourse processing, individual differences, cognition and instruction, student engagement and motivation. Personal interests include cooking, reading, and spending time with family.
