Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I join Greek Life?

A ton of reasons! Leadership opportunities, career readiness, academic support, networking opportunities with other chapters and alumni, community service, philanthropic endeavors, fun events, more friends, more connections, and more things to do!

How do I join Greek Life?

During the beginning of the fall semester, all chapters will be recruiting for members. Sorority formal recruitment is a week long of events, and fraternity recruitment is a month long. Students are still able to join a chapter outside of the formal recruitment process if they receive a bid.

What is the cost of joining Greek Life?

All chapters have a financial commitment. Each chapter is different. Every chapter offers a variety of payment plans. Some chapters also offer scholarships. When going through the recruitment process, it is important to ask about finances and plans. Going through recruitment is free.

Do I have to live in Greek housing?

If you join a chapter, it is NOT required for you to live in their house. All nine of our chapters have individual college-owned houses on our campus. In order to live in a chapter house, you must be a member of the chapter and meet a minimum GPA requirement. It is just a great opportunity to live with your friends.

Can I play sports and be involved in Greek Life?

Definitely! It is encouraged. A perk of Adrian college is the easy ability to be involved in multiple organizations. All of the chapters promote prioritization of academics first, then athletics, then Greek Life.

Can I join AKPsi and be a part of Greek Life?

Alpha Kappa Psi is our co-ed business fraternity on campus. They share Greek letters, but they are not a social fraternity. Any member within our Greek Life defined organizations is also able to join AKPsi.

How many students are a part of Greek Life?

As of Spring of 2026, over 250 students are in Greek Life at Adrian College. This equates to around 16.4% of undergraduates.
