Tad Davis, 2019

Minor: Public Relations

Current Job: Audio Producer at The Detroit Free Press.

What Was Your Favorite Class: COMM 330: Intercultural Communications taught by Dr. Christy Mesaros-Winckles. That class really brought me out of my comfort zone and gave me a chance to experiment with my ability to tell stories.

What Did You Learn? I graduated with a Marketing degree but really dove into communications, journalism, and storytelling. My degree doesn't necessarily match with my career but at Adrian College I was given the space and time to create and try out things I was really passionate about like podcasts. At Adrian I learned to ask the right questions and challenge myself, which is why I ended up where I am today.

What Activities Were You Involved In? I played soccer all four years at Adrian College and that impacted me as a person more than anything else. I learned so much more than soccer during that time. How to succeed, how to go the extra mile, and how to be a leader. I also was in student government, the student-athlete advisory committee, and worked for the school as a resident assistant.

What Advice Do You Have? Chase it! If you are passionate about something DO IT. Don't wait until you think you're good enough or want to share it with your peers, just make the things you want to make. You will learn so much in that process that most of the time is unteachable.
