John White ’88

John White ’88 retired from General Motors in January 2022, and immediately began teaching full time at Baylor University (Texas) in the Hankamer School of Business. This past semester, he was recognized by the senior class as the Most Popular Professor. While humbled by the recognition, John says the true impact was not felt until his wife, Dana Ziemer White ’87, reminded him that Professor Don Kleinsmith won that award from their senior class. To be thought of by students in the same manner in which they thought of Professor Kleinsmith was truly humbling, according to John. He reached out to Professor Kleinsmith this past month, who returned John’s call. John stated that it was such a blessing to hear his voice and get caught up.
