Andrew ‘Andy’ Hull ’68
Andrew ‘Andy’ Hull ’68, a resident of Alexandria, Va., died January 13, 2024, after a short illness. He received a bachelor of arts (with honors) degree in political science from Adrian College, and a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky’s William Andrew Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, in 1973. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972, conducting counterintelligence assessments supporting the U.S. Army’s Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence. He spent the majority of his professional career at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, where he was an internationally recognized expert on military technology available on the world’s arms markets and traveled extensively, covering defense exhibitions in over 30 countries. Andy provided 37 years of dedicated service to the nation, before retiring in 2021.
