Dr. Peter Cha completed his AB in Physics at Harvard University in 2014, an MSc in theoretical physics at the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Ontario in 2016, and a PhD in physics at Cornell University in 2022. His research background is in the emergent behavior of interacting many-body quantum systems, such as strange metal states observed in unconventional superconductors and the characterization of noisy quantum computers. Since joining Adrian College in 2023 as an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department, his research interests have expanded across the disciplines, including neuroscience and astrophysics. His work at the Adrian College Physics Department has also included establishing the Physics Student Center, working on grants for physics and engineering students, and serving as a faculty advisor for the Physics & Astronomy Club.
