Originally from Alpena, Michigan, Ian Steinke earned a B.S. in Industrial Chemistry Technologies from Ferris State University in 2019 and a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Auburn University in 2024. His graduate research focused on the rational drug design, synthesis, and development of novel PPAR/LXR agonists for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). This work employed an interdisciplinary approach combining molecular modeling, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacology to advance therapeutics for clinically unmet needs. Currently, his research centers on the investigation and development of therapeutic interventions for progressive degenerative inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s Disease, frontotemporal dementia, degenerative myelopathy, and fibromyalgia.
