Christie Boxer

Dr. Boxer acts as Associate Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice. She teaches courses in marriage and the family, sex and gender, race and ethnicity, class and status, research methods, sociological theory, and senior research. Her hands-on approach to student mentoring helps students navigate career opportunities for those with liberal arts Bachelor's degrees. She has published scholarly articles and book chapters on the consequences of exposure to disparaging humor, the stereotype threat phenomenon, and discrimination in the workplace.
