Alex Martin holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. He teaches the Organic Chemistry sequence at Adrian College and has experience teaching General Chemistry and a variety of other introductory science courses. His research focuses on developing innovative and efficient chemical processes for the synthesis of biologically active compounds. Since 2019, he has served on the executive committee of the Huron Valley Local Section of the American Chemical Society. Prior to joining Adrian College in the fall of 2024, Alex taught at Concordia University for eight years.
