During May, Adrian College’s Robinson Planetarium will feature the full-dome show “Cosmic Colors: An Adventure Along the Spectrum.”
The planetarium shows, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, 15, 22 and 29, are free and open to the public.
Cosmic Colors will take visitors on a journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Discover the many reasons for color-like why the sky is blue and why Mars is red. Take a tour within a plant leaf and journey inside the human eye. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back to a doctor’s office. Participants will even see the actual color of a dinosaur — based on recent evidence.
After the show, visitors will take a look at the night sky and talk about the Summer Triangle.
Guests should enter through the northeast Williams Street entrance of Peelle Hall. Directional signs will guide visitors to the entrance. The planetarium offers 68 theater-style seats and recommends arriving 10 to 15 minutes early for preferred seating. On-street parking is available on Williams Street.
