Adrian College President Docking to testify before U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce

Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking is scheduled to testify before the U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce in a hearing titled “The Future of College: Harnessing Innovation to Improve Outcomes and Lower Costs” on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 10:15 a.m. in Room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

Congressman Tim Walberg, the Chair of the committee, said the purpose of the hearing is to examine the impact of innovations in higher education and highlight how they can enhance institutional effectiveness, improve student outcomes, and lower college costs. The session will explore how new approaches, technologies, and policy reforms can expand access to quality education while reducing the financial burden on students and families.

Walberg said the committee aims to highlight strategies that make college more affordable and effective for both students and institutions.

The hearing will be open to the public and streamed online through the House Committee on Education and the Workforce website, edworkforce.house.gov.
