Adrian College expands MBA program with three new specializations targeting high-growth fields

Adrian College recently announced the launch of three new Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializations designed to address critical skills gaps in artificial intelligence, data analytics and cybersecurity. In all three fields, demand for qualified professionals continues to outpace supply.
The new tracks in AI Driven Management, Business Analytics and Cybersecurity Management represent the college’s latest effort to align graduate education with rapidly evolving industry needs. Developed in partnership with Rize Education, the specializations can be completed within Adrian’s existing one-year MBA framework.
“The job market has fundamentally shifted,” said Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking. “Companies are creating positions today that didn’t exist five years ago when we designed our core MBA curriculum. These specializations ensure our graduates have the specialized expertise employers are actively seeking.”
Adrian’s approach integrates these specializations into a flexible 30-36 credit hour program with personalized academic advising for each student. The structure allows full-time students to graduate in three semesters, while part-time options extend over five or more semesters to accommodate working professionals.
The AI Driven Management track focuses on strategic implementation of artificial intelligence technologies within business operations. Students learn to lead AI adoption initiatives and navigate the organizational challenges of integrating emerging technologies.
The Cybersecurity Management track prepares graduates to assess security vulnerabilities, develop incident response protocols and build comprehensive defense strategies. These capabilities are increasingly essential as cyberattacks target organizations of all sizes.
The Business Analytics track teaches students to extract actionable insights from complex data sets and present findings to executive leadership in ways that optimize decision-making, streamline workflows, and increase profitability.
“We are working with industry partners to build something completely new,” said Dean of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education, Tony Coumoundouros. “Programs are designed from the ground up to prepare leaders who can thrive in AI-driven, data-rich environments from day one.”
The programs launch at a time when graduate business schools nationwide are reassessing their offerings. Coumoundouros said Adrian College is excited to add technology-focused specializations to meet the demand of students seeking clear pathways to high-demand careers.
