Public invited to Adrian College Lessons and Carols Service

Posted Tuesday, November 21, 2023

Adrian College’s annual Lessons and Carols Service will take place at 7 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 3, in Herrick Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

The service opens with festive Christmas music, led by Adrian College Orchestra and Choir Director Phillip Clark, Women’s A Cappella Ensemble Director Kristin Clark, and Flute Choir Director Melissa Masher.

The organist is Jantz Black, and the pianist is Wendy Rickard.

The performance will include, “Tidings of Comfort and Joy!” “Christmas Morning Suite,” “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “A Most Wonderful Christmas,” and other holiday favorites.

A traditional Christian worship service begins at 7:30 p.m. with a choral processional in candlelight, followed by readings and carols.

This year’s officiant is Reverend Alice Ford.

Guests will be invited to join the choir and orchestra in Handel’s famous “Hallelujah” chorus.

For more information about the event, contact Phillip Clark at pclark@adrian.edu.
