Intelligent.com, a resource for online/on-campus program rankings and higher education planning, has included Adrian College in its list of top programs assessed for 2022. The research identifies programs in the nation based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation.

Adrian College received “Best 3+2 Master’s Program” for both its on-campus and online formats. Students in the undergraduate 3+2 program at Adrian College are automatically eligible for entry into the master’s program after meeting entry requirements. This structure allows students to complete both their chosen undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years.

“I am very proud of this accolade. We are instilling in our students the desire to continue their education and pursue master’s degrees within their professions,” said Christine Knaggs, Ph.D., Dean of Graduate Studies. “We do so much outreach and work with our undergraduate students to make them aware of our graduate programs and have them see them as valuable and viable options.”

Experts at Intelligent.com assessed programs that help students enhance and develop advanced skills for a variety of in-demand positions and noted Adrian College offers flexible distance learning that appeals to busy adults with hybrid models that include on-campus and online formats.

In addition, Adrian College was designated “Best for International Students,” specifically within its Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training. In the five-year accelerated program, Athletic Training students earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Athletic Training. While in the program, students also complete a comprehensive master’s thesis and are given the opportunity to become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCSs).

“The graduate Athletic Training program at Adrian College offers advancement training that prepares students to be credentialed in both the United States and Canada,” said Tina Claiborne, Ph.D., Professor of Exercise Science and Athletic Training and Director of the Adrian College Institute for Sports Medicine. “Several of Adrian’s Athletic Training graduates have taken the opportunity to become certified in both countries, which has truly opened up their employment opportunities.”
