Adrian College’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies will host guest speaker Monique Wells for its annual Women’s Diversity Day at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, in Baer Lecture Hall, Jones 110. This event is free and open to the public.
Wells’ presentation is titled, “Power Thoughts- Inspired into Being.”
“I am so honored to be a part of this event,” Wells said. “This is a critical time in history for empowering women to lead in a way that inspires a new generation of leaders and gives the world hope for tomorrow.”
Wells holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master’s in Career and Technical Education from the University of Toledo.
She currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at DTE Energy in Detroit, where she focuses on building a workplace where employees are appreciated and valued.
Wells is a member of the Michigan Tech University College of Engineering Advisory Board, and the Michigan Tech Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Sense of Belonging (DEIS) Alumni Advisory Board.
