Sport Management Program Offers Professional Development at Super Bowl LV

Sport Management students had the opportunity to experience the 2021 Super Bowl game day operations. This experience offered a once in a lifetime professional development experience for our Adrian College students. The two faculty instructors involved in this trip were Dr. Christy and Dr. Reid.
The students in the Master of Arts in Sport Management program were able to fundraise on their own to be able to make this Super Bowl opportunity a reality.
Dr. Christy and Dr. Reid shared that the most rewarding aspect of this professional development experience was game day and the ride home. The students were able to apply their learning and reflect on their experiences, which finally culminated in the opportunity to finally sit back and enjoy the game as their personal reward.
After knowing how huge of a success of this excursion, and knowing that these students were able to take their academic knowledge and translate it into hands-on hard work, Dr. Christy and Dr. Reid will plan a future similar opportunity, potentially at the collegiate level National Championships.
