Charlene Li, a New York Times bestselling author of six books, including her newest release, “The Disruption Mindset: Why Some Businesses Transform While Others Fail,” will be participating in a broadcast event sponsored by the Adrian College chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Jones Hall, room 110. Questions will be answered live during the broadcast. This live stream event, from Montclair State University in Montclair, N.J., is free and open to the community.
Li is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, and has more than 20 years of experience in tech and business. She has been an advisor to Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation and leadership, and was named by Fast Company magazine as one of the most creative people in business. Li lives in San Francisco.
In her latest book release, “The Disruption Mindset: Why Some Businesses Transform While Others Fail,” Li suggests that to be competitive, it is no longer enough to be innovative — there must be a strategy for disruptive growth, a plan to identify and seize an opportunity no one else has the audacity or confidence to attempt. She will discuss how leaders must show up differently when pursuing a disruption strategy with the goal of creating things that result in huge, positive change.
This is the fourth installment of the 2019-2020 multi-speaker broadcast series sponsored by the NSLS. The NSLS’s Speaker Broadcast series, which reaches more than 740 college campuses each month during the academic year, is designed to support the NSLS’s overall mission of “Building Leaders Who Make a Better World.
