The Nicolay Heritage Room Gallery at Adrian College is featuring the work of Travis Erxleben in a show titled “Epitaphs.” The exhibit is on display and open to the public through Friday, Oct. 25, with a reception taking place on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Erxleben is currently a studio technician and adjunct art and design professor at Adrian College. His portfolio is comprised of sculptural work created to stimulate a thematic commentary about the lasting legacies of previous generations and the unique ability of objects to communicate the stories and testaments of an individual long after their demise.

The Nicolay Heritage Room Gallery is located in the Shipman Library off Williams Street. Gallery hours are Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
