ADRIAN — Adrian College recently promoted two employees and hired a new alumni relations director in its ongoing effort to maintain and improve efficiency in three key departments.
Director of Admissions Joe VanGeison has accepted the position of assistant vice president of enrollment and officially begins his new role on July 1. VanGeison is an Adrian College alumnus and completed his B.S. in business administration in 2012. While working at the college in 2017, he earned an M.A. in sport administration and leadership.
DeAnne Lewin has accepted the position of director of conference services and began her new role on May 1. Lewin lives in Adrian and has worked in Adrian College’s Athletics Department as an administrative assistant for the last six and a half years. She has completed coursework in special education at Eastern Michigan University and is currently pursuing a B.S. in business sports management from Adrian College. Lewin will be working with the current director of conferences, Denise Hein, until the end of September.
Jennifer Carlson became Adrian College’s new director of alumni relations on June 3. Carlson received a B.A. in interior design at Adrian College in 2009 and earned an M.A. in leadership from Siena Heights University in 2011. Carlson played both basketball and volleyball at Adrian College. She lives in Adrian and is currently an assistant volleyball coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at Siena Heights University, as well as a softball coach for Adrian High School.
