Each spring, the Alumni Association Board of Directors reviews nominees and selects recipients for the Alumni Awards presented at Homecoming. Individuals are nominated by alumni, faculty, family, friends, trustees, and staff. If you know someone you believe meets the criteria or should be considered, please submit his or her name and supporting information to the Office of Alumni Relations using the Alumni Award nomination form.


Distinguished Alumni Award

  • graduated at least 20 years ago.
  • regional and/or international recognition in respective career.
  • recognition for service and/or involvement in the community.
  • continued involvement and/or support of Adrian College.

Young Alumni Achievement Award

  • graduated within the last 20 years.

Distinguished Alumni Award

Patrick J. Kilbane ’02

Patrick J. Kilbane ’02 exemplifies leadership, service, and professional excellence. During his time at Adrian College, he served as a Resident Assistant in Estes Hall, Resident Director in Feeman and Powell Halls, and as Student Government President in 2001. He was voted Outstanding Graduating Senior by the faculty and received the Theta Chi Fraternity’s Reginald E.F. Colley Memorial Trophy, the highest honor a collegiate member can earn for distinguished service to their alma mater and fraternity.

A summa cum laude graduate with a BBA from Adrian College and a JD from the University of Notre Dame, Patrick has built an exceptional career in law, wealth management, and civic leadership. He began as an associate at Rogers Towers P.A. (2005–2010), advanced to shareholder and partner at GrayRobinson P.A. (2010–2013), and has served as partner, wealth advisor, and general counsel at Ullmann Wealth Partners since 2014. Patrick has earned national recognition, including Top 40 Under 40 honors from the American Legal Society of Legal Advocates and the Jacksonville Business Journal, listings in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, and Super Lawyers Rising Star.

He has held numerous leadership roles, including Chairman of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, President of the Jacksonville Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, and gubernatorial appointee to the Florida Elections Commission and Jacksonville Port Authority Board. Patrick also contributes to philanthropic and civic initiatives, including the Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital Foundation and the Notre Dame Club of Greater Jacksonville.

As a trustee of Adrian College, Patrick remains committed to giving back to his alma mater while mentoring the next generation of leaders. He resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife, Paige, and their children, Tucker, Emery, and Grady. He enjoys family time, politics, college football, exercise, and the annual Vegas Friends trip.

Alumni Service Award

Scott Schiff ’99

Scott Schiff ’99 has built an impressive career in professional sports while remaining a dedicated supporter of Adrian College and its students. A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in sports management, Scott currently serves as Vice President of Team Business and Event Operations for the UFL’s Michigan Panthers. His career journey has included leadership roles with the Detroit Pistons, Harlem Globetrotters, Arizona Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Tampa Bay Lightning. He has also shared his expertise as an adjunct lecturer at Eastern Michigan University.

Scott’s connection to Adrian College remains strong. For the past 11 years, he has returned to campus each semester as a guest speaker in Intro to Sports Management classes and has mentored students by hiring several Adrian alumni into the sports industry. As a student, he was a member of the Bulldogs men’s basketball team and volunteered with HOPE Community Center.

In addition to his professional and alumni service, Scott has a long history of community involvement. He was honored with the Special Olympics Area 29 Outstanding Volunteer Award in 1998 for his dedication to supporting athletes with disabilities.

Scott resides in Orchard Lake, Michigan, with his wife, Emilie, and their children, Max and Maddie. A proud hockey dad, he continues to dedicate his time to both family and the world of sports.

Alumni Humanitarian Award

Louis D. Piszker ’86

Louis D. Piszker ’86 has dedicated his career to serving others and building stronger communities. A graduate of Adrian College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting, and the University of Michigan with a master’s in public administration, Louis has spent more than 31 years with Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer.

Through his leadership, Louis has worked tirelessly in the pursuit to eliminate poverty by empowering people and communities to be strong, healthy, and thriving. His vision of creating communities where all people have hope and opportunity has guided his decades of service.

Louis’s impact has been widely recognized. He was honored with Crain’s Best Managed Non-Profit award in 2022, the National Community Action Partnership Promise in Action Award in 2023, a 30-Year Service Award from Wayne Metro in 2024, and Congressional recognition for his service to the community.

In addition to his professional work, Louis has contributed his leadership to numerous organizations, serving on the boards of the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber, HSAWCF, The Purple PAC, and previously the YMCA of Southeast Michigan and the Michigan Community Action Agency Association, where he served as treasurer. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alpha Phi, and Phi Alpha Theta.

Louis resides in Brownstown, MI with his wife Diane.  They have three grown children, Louis (Jocelyn), Patrick (Lauren), and Melissa (Nate). He enjoys time with his grandchildren, playing pickleball, and golfing.

Honorary Alumni Award

Jason Hess

Jason Hess has been a dedicated partner and supporter of Adrian College for more than two decades. As President of Krieghoff-Lenawee Company, a family-owned commercial construction firm that has served Adrian College since the 1940s, Jason has overseen numerous projects that have shaped the campus landscape. He began his career with Krieghoff-Lenawee in 1997 and steadily advanced into leadership, becoming Vice President in 2003, Senior Vice President in 2013, and President in 2019.

A graduate of Onsted High School and Eastern Michigan University, Jason holds multiple professional certifications, including Masonry Institute of Michigan, LEED Accredited Professional, and State of Michigan Residential Builders License. Beyond his professional achievements, Jason is deeply invested in his community. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including Goodwill, Hospice, YMCA of Lenawee County, Lenawee Economic Development Corporation, and the Boys and Girls Club, where he served as President and now continues as an emeritus board member.

Reflecting on Adrian College’s impact, Jason shares: “Adrian College and their students have a very strong impact on the local economy around Adrian, in Lenawee County and SE Michigan. Over the past couple of decades the College has been on a steady upward trend as an institution which has provided a significant impact to our community.”

For his commitment to Adrian College and the greater Lenawee community, Jason is honored with the Honorary Alumni Award. He resides in Tipton, Michigan, with his wife, Brandi, and their daughters, Emily and Kirsten.

Kaye Reinheart '81

Kaye Reinhart ’81 has devoted more than 20 years of her professional life to serving Adrian College, leaving a lasting impact on students, alumni, and colleagues. She joined the College in 2000 as an administrative assistant in the Institutional Advancement Office (now the Alumni/Development Office) and has described her work at Adrian as “more than ‘just a job,’ it is a joy.” Over the years, Kaye has formed strong connections with students—many of whom remain lifelong friends—and has returned to the College after two retirements, serving in both the Development Office and the Office of Campus Safety. Most recently, she returned part-time to Development, sharing her role with her good friend and former colleague, Connie Williams, who had recently retired.

During her tenure at Adrian College, Kaye has been a steady presence behind the scenes, ensuring the success of alumni relations, fundraising efforts, and campus initiatives. Her institutional knowledge, dedication, and personal warmth have made her a mentor and friend to countless students and alumni, fostering a sense of community that extends well beyond graduation.

Before joining Adrian College, Kaye gained valuable experience in customer service and administration with General Telephone Company (1967–1976), Adrian Public Schools Food Service (1988–1995), and Michael H. Dawson, M.D. (Southeastern Orthopedics, 1995–2000), demonstrating her longstanding commitment to professionalism and service.

Kaye resides in Adrian and treasures her family time, especially with her granddaughter, Claire, and her grown children, both graduates of Adrian College: Jason Reinhart ’05 and Kerri Reinhart Sanborn ’03. Through her dedication to Adrian College, her support of students and alumni, and her personal commitment to stewardship, Kaye embodies the spirit of service and loyalty that this award celebrates.

Outstanding Alumni Employee Award

Brent Greenwood ’14

Brent Greenwood ’14 has made a lasting impact on Adrian College as both a student-athlete and now as a dedicated coach and leader. Entering his fifth season as Head Coach of the men’s and women’s golf program, Greenwood has guided the Bulldogs to historic success. He was named the 2024 MIAA Women’s Golf Coach of the Year after leading the women’s team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2023, while also coaching MIAA Players of the Year Olivia Ohmer (2023) and Cameron Bozyk (2025).

Before taking over the golf program, Greenwood built an impressive résumé as head coach of Adrian’s Club Baseball team from 2017–2021. In the program’s inaugural season, he led the Bulldogs to the 2018 NCBA World Series Championship, outscoring opponents 17–0 and finishing with a 22–5 record. Over four seasons, he guided the team to a 55–39 overall mark, three championships at the conference, district, and national levels, and produced a team-record three NCBA All-Americans.

A Toledo native, Greenwood was also a standout pitcher for Adrian’s baseball program, serving as captain of the 2014 Bulldogs squad that went 33-15 overall, captured the MIAA championship with a 21-7 league mark, and advanced to the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional finals. A two-time Dean’s List recipient, he earned MIAA Honor Roll recognition during his junior year and graduated among the top pitchers in program history.

Beyond his coaching achievements, Greenwood serves the College in many other ways. He chairs the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame committee, ensuring the accomplishments of Bulldog greats are celebrated, and he directs the annual Bulldog Golf Outing, which supports athletic programs and alumni engagement.

Greenwood earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Adrian in 2014. He and his wife, Cassy ’14, live in Adrian with their daughter, Emersyn. In addition to golf and baseball, he enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
