Graduate Studies
Pursuing your dream career starts with the next phase of your education. When you enroll in graduate school at Adrian College, you’re beginning more than advanced training in your field; you’re accelerating your professional journey.
Full-time enrollment is reached when students enroll in the appropriate amount of credit hours to be at full-time status. Full-time status at Adrian College is:
Undergraduate students = 12 undergraduate credit hours
Graduate students = 9 graduate credit hours
To maintain F-1 status, international students must be enrolled at full-time status each semester.
Incomplete courses from a previous semester may not count towards full-time enrollment for a current semester. Additionally, incomplete courses may not be used to extend a program. For F-1 status purposes, a program will be considered completed at the end of the final semester, even if an F-1 student has an incomplete course.
Students must ensure that two-thirds (2/3rds) of their classes each semester remain in-person. For example, if an undergraduate student is enrolled in 12 credit hours, 8 of those credit hours must be in-person. The other 4 may be offered online.
F-1 students may reduce their course load for the following reasons only:
Medical: Students who fall ill or need to take maternity leave may be authorized by the PDSO/DSO to reduce their course load (or take up to no classes at all) for up to 12 months per academic level. Students must provide the PDSO/DSO with a letter from a licensed medical doctor before dropping below a full course of study.
