Graduate Studies
Pursuing your dream career starts with the next phase of your education. When you enroll in graduate school at Adrian College, you’re beginning more than advanced training in your field; you’re accelerating your professional journey.
The Bulldog Marching Band is an exciting part of campus life at Adrian College, and we welcome students with previous instrumental music experience. The band performs at every home football game during pregame and halftime, bringing energy and school spirit to the stadium.
Our group includes brass and woodwind players, a strong drumline, color guard, and twirling teams. We focus on creating quality performances while building a supportive and enjoyable community for all members. The band hosts the Lenawee County High School Marching Band Exhibition, and has travel performance opportunities on the horizon.
If you want to keep playing, meet new people, and stay connected to music, the Bulldog Marching Band is a great place to start your college campus experience.

Choir Annual performances include singing for the AC Homecoming Worship Service, Lessons & Carols, Baccalaureate, and the Spring Choral Concert. The Adrian College Choir has toured throughout Europe, China, and the eastern United States. In 2008, the choir performed in Beijing and Shanghai as part of the Summer Olympics music festival, and in 2010 the ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in New York City. Most recently, in June 2025, members of the choir returned to Carnegie Hall for a national performance of Fauré’s Requiem with the New York City Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Douma of Yale University, following their 2024 Carnegie appearance under the direction of Dr. Jerry Blackstone. These back-to-back performances reflect consecutive invitations from Manhattan Concert Productions, with an additional invitation already extended for the 2026–2027 season.
Large choral-orchestral collaborations have included Mozart’s Requiem with John Rutter in New York City; Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Beijing Conservatory Symphony Orchestra; Beethoven’s Choral Fantasie, Handel’s Messiah, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Haydn’s Paukenmesse with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra; Fauré’s Requiem with the New England Chamber Orchestra in New York City; and Karl Jenkins’s Mass for Peace with the Adrian Chamber Orchestra. The ensemble is conducted by Professor Phillip Clark.

Concert Band rehearsals begin in January immediately after break and continue through the entire spring semester. Rehearsals meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:45. There are two main performances: a spring concert and graduation.
Past concerts have included works such as Robert W. Smith’s Divine Comedy, Johan de Meij’s Lord of the Rings, Eric Whitacre’s Godzilla Eats Las Vegas, Vaughan Williams’ Folk Song Suite, Holst’s First and Second Suites, Nelhybel’s Trittico, and Grainger’s Lincolnshire Posy. We also perform music by composers like Hazo, Maslanka, Higdon, and Omar Thomas.
Along with the Concert Band, most students perform with the Pep Band for Basketball and Hockey games. Qualifying students receive work study hours and can get paid for these services. Concert Band / Pep Band is a great way to continue developing your musicianship while working on meaningful repertoire in a supportive ensemble.
