Dr. Jennifer McNabb, Class of 1994
Dr. Jennifer McNabb is Professor and Head of the Department of History at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, following appointments as Department Chair of History and Associate Director of the Centennial Honors College at Western Illinois University. She completed her Ph.D. in the history of early modern England at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2003. Prior to that, she received her undergraduate degree in History from Adrian College.

Her research and teaching specialties include early modern European history and the history of England. She currently serves as the Chief Reader of the College Board’s Advanced Placement program in European History, annually supervising 550 college and high school faculty from more than 500 colleges, universities, and secondary schools in the scoring of 100,000 student exams. Dr. McNabb has served as President and Executive Board Member of the Rocky Mountain Medieval and Renaissance Association and as Program Committee Chair of the Midwest Conference on British Studies.

She has received several awards for her teaching and completed a 48-part lecture series on the Renaissance for The Great Courses, released in July 2018, titled “Renaissance: The Transformation of the West”; she is currently preparing a series on witchcraft for The Great Courses to be released on Audible.com in 2020. Her scholarship has appeared in numerous publications, including The Sixteenth Century Journal, Quidditas, The Journal of the Wooden O, Women’s History, Cheshire History, and an edited volume published by Amsterdam University Press in 2018 titled The Youth of Early Modern Women, and she is preparing a book for the University of Toronto Press on the history of medieval England.

Tom Campbell, Class of 2006
Tom Campbell is a May 2006 graduate of Adrian College with a major in History and a minor in Economics. Following his graduation, he started law school at Florida State University and graduated in May 2009 with honors. After he obtained his juris doctorate, he passed the bar exam in the state of Florida in October 2009 and then started his first full time job as an attorney with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and he has been working at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in different roles for the past ten years.

Tom Moore, Class of 2006
Tom Moore is a 2006 graduate of Adrian College, majoring in History and minoring in German. During their time at Adrian, Tom developed a passion for LGBTQ+ studies which they carried with them during their time working towards their Masters of Art in Social Science with a focus in Women and Gender Studies at the University of Michigan-Flint. During this time Tom was given the opportunity to study in Berlin, Germany on gay and lesbian culture during the Weimar Era.

After graduating from Adrian College, Tom worked as a preschool teacher and then a volunteer coordinator. Currently, Tom works for Wellness Services, Inc. in Flint, which is a non-profit, community-based organization providing medical and psycho-social services for people living with HIV. Wellness works closely with the community to provide free HIV case management services, HIV/STI testing, condom distributions, naloxone training, and educational services focused on addressing social determinants of health.

Tom wears many hats at Wellness. Under the care coordination department Tom works closely with newly diagnosed, high crisis, high-needs people living with HIV across six counties to help individuals address insurance, housing, transportation, medical, behavioral health, substance use, pharmacy, health literacy, and other support needs. As the Tobacco Program Coordinator, Tom works to help people living with HIV understand and navigate their tobacco use while collaborating with other tobacco cessation programs across the state of Michigan to also address LBGTQ+ tobacco use. Tom is one of the health educators whose focus in on the psycho-social needs of the LGBTQ+ communities. Tom has presented at local, state, and national conferences to advocate the need to improve the health needs of people living with HIV and the LGBTQ+ communities, especially trans women of color. A few of the conferences Tom presented at are the United States Conference on AIDS, the Annual MI Primary Care LGBTQ Conference, Tobacco Free Michigan, and the Annual HIV and Youth Summit.

Amanda Liske, Class of 2010
Amanda Liske is a 2010 Adrian College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. She completed a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) with an Archival Studies Concentration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) in 2012. Her current occupation is as a digital image librarian and company archivist at the Kohler Co. in Kohler, Wisc.

Amanda's involvement in the history field began as a teenager with her grandparents' memories and mementos from World War II. It grew while in college to encompass work with two museum exhibits at the Lenawee County Historical Museum and a summer position as curator of the Lakeside Heritage Museum. Lakeside also served as the venue of Amanda's undergraduate internship as an Educational Programming intern for the Lakeside Association before moving on to graduate school in Milwaukee.

Wisconsin opened many opportunities for Amanda, including work at the UWM Libraries as a Circulation Assistant, fieldwork at the UWM Archives for a semester processing the Junior League of Milwaukee collection, and several months volunteering at both the Milwaukee Public Library Archives and the Marquette University Archives. Along the way, she joined such organizations as the Society of American Archivists, American Library Association, Midwest Archives Conference, Wisconsin Library Association, and the Southeastern Wisconsin Archives Group. Amanda's current work at Kohler Co. now allows her to continue to pursue her interests in both history and organization as she assists in managing current photography and historical records.
