Graduate Studies
Pursuing your dream career starts with the next phase of your education. When you enroll in graduate school at Adrian College, you’re beginning more than advanced training in your field; you’re accelerating your professional journey.
Adrian College offers several programs that lead to professional or occupational licenses or certifications which are required for employment in an occupation. Federal regulations require Adrian College to publicly disclose, for each educational program whether or not it meets the educational requirements for licensure and in which U.S. states or territories. These public disclosure requirements apply to all programs regardless of their modality (face-to-face, online, or hybrid).
This information can be found here.
Students who intend to declare a major or pursue a program that does not meet the educational requirements for licensure in their current student location (State or U.S. Territory) must complete the Licensure Program Attestation Form (see below).
Student Location:
For the purposes of professional licensure disclosure compliance, Adrian College determines student location and time of enrollment in the following ways:
(a) For students living on Adrian College’s campus, the “student location” is Michigan. For students who have the College’s permission to live off campus and for students who commute, the “student location” is the “Home” address, provided to the College by the student and saved in the student’s record. This definition of “student location” applies to all students.
(b) “Time of Enrollment” in a specific program or major is defined as the point at which students have declared their major or program of study but have not yet registered for courses in that program or major. The declaration of major or program is complete when the Registrar’s Office processes the Major Declaration Form, not when the student submits the form.
(c) For students whose permanent address does not include a U.S. state or territory (e.g. students living outside the United States), their location will be considered the state of Michigan.
Who should complete the Licensure Program Attestation Form?
Students who live off campus in a state other than Michigan or who commute to Adrian College from a state other than Michigan and who intend to declare one of the following majors or programs as one of their academic concentrations and when the program does not meet the licensure requirements in their student location:
When should a student complete the Licensure Attestation Form?
If a student wishes to enroll in a program that does not meet the requirements for licensure in their state, Adrian College is required to inform the student of this and the student must sign a Licensure Program Attestation Form before they can declare the program as their program of study. This form asks the student to acknowledge that Adrian College informed them that the program they wish to enroll in does not meet the requirements for licensure in their state and that to obtain a license and be employed in the area related to this program, they will have to relocate to that state. The student will submit the Licensure Program Attestation Form electronically to the Registrar's Office.
