Overview

The Ribbons of Excellence Program represents one of Adrian College’s most significant academic traditions, highlighted each year by the annual Ribbons of Excellence (ROE) Day Conference. This interdisciplinary event celebrates the scholarly, creative, and professional accomplishments of Adrian College students, reflecting the College’s five Ribbons of Excellence: Caring for Humanity and the World, Learning Throughout a Lifetime, Thinking Critically, Crossing Boundaries and Disciplines, and Developing Creativity.

ROE Day provides a campus-wide platform for students to present research, performances, innovative projects, and experiential learning outcomes to peers, faculty, staff, and community members. The program strengthens academic engagement by showcasing the diverse ways students apply their learning across disciplines.

Beyond the event itself, the Ribbons of Excellence Program supports student success by fostering exploration of academic and career pathways, encouraging creative inquiry, and helping students build connections with graduate programs and professional opportunities. Through these efforts, the program reinforces Adrian College’s commitment to holistic learning, intellectual curiosity, and meaningful achievement.
