Teacher Education Complaint Policy

The Teacher Education Department at Adrian College is committed to listening to, discussing,
and addressing concerns raised by students, faculty, cooperating teachers, school
administrators, and other stakeholders regarding the teacher education programs.

Concerns should be submitted as soon as possible to allow for timely review and problem-
solving. A formal complaint is defined as any verbal or written statement expressing
dissatisfaction with an issue related to teacher preparation.

All formal complaints should be directed to the Chair of the Teacher Education Department, as
outlined in the Academic Catalog, on the Teacher Education webpage, in orientation materials,
and during advising sessions.

A complaint submission must include the following:
● The complainant’s name
● Contact information
● A clear, factual description of the concern
● Any relevant supporting documentation or evidence

The department will review each complaint carefully and take appropriate steps toward
resolution in a fair and timely manner.
