What is the building capacity?
120 for seated events.
Is there a booking fee? When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes. When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date we require a 50% facility fee deposit/ non-refundable booking fee. The second payment is due either 9 months out, or within 30 days within booking, depending on your event date. The third payment is due 6 months out, with the final payment being due 3 months out
How do I reserve a date?
To reserve a date email, us at conferences@adrian.edu saying you are ready to book your chosen date. We suggest you email us stating you are ready to book your preferred date and then include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Dates are reserved on a first-requested basis. Whoever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be first in line.
Do I need to schedule a tour to see the venue, or can I just stop by?
We require a scheduled appointment to enjoy a personal tour of our space. In the meantime, website shopping is encouraged.
Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?
We do allow full-service caterers of your choice. (Conditions apply) Please see our catering agreement before booking your catering staff.
Will there be another wedding or event on the same day?
No, you will have exclusive use of the space for your day.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite, does your fee change?
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.
Do you allow dogs on site to play a part in our wedding day?
We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval from our team) at the ceremony and for pictures. Dogs must be on a leash, and someone must be responsible for them other than the bridal couple, bridal party, or immediate family. They must be removed from the campus after photos.
What form of payment is accepted?
We accept cash, check, or wire transfer.
What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
You will have access to the venue at the time listed in your contract. Please plan accordingly! If you need to purchase additional time, please let us know and we can add it to your contract.
Do you include any wedding coordination?
Yes! We want to ensure that your day goes as perfectly as you intend it. We provide wedding coordination meetings (2 meetings @ 1-1/2 hours) that will help you create a realistic timeline before your event. We will meet you at your arrival for set up and ensure everything is perfect!
What are our catering options?
We understand that everybody has different food preferences. Because of that, we know that having the freedom to choose your own catering team is important to our clients. We do have specific parameters that we require. They must be licensed. Additionally, they must provide staffing to ensure superior service.
What other vendors would be needed to hire for your event?
Our typical couples book catering, bar, minister, music, centerpiece designer/decorator, photography & florals.
Will we be able to access the location early to rehearse our ceremony?
Yes, you will have access to set up and do a rehearsal the day before the wedding. YES, that is right you will get more than one day with your booking.
Can we have fireworks on the property?
We do not allow fireworks on the property.
Can vehicles be left overnight?
Vehicles can be left onsite overnight.
What time does the music need to end?
Music must conclude by 10:30 p.m. with guests off site by 11:30 pm.
We are using a rental company. Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?
Because the building is locked we are only able to accommodate deliveries and drop-offs during your predetermined setup time, the scheduled rehearsal the night before or on the day of your event. If your rental company is doing an unattended pick-up or drop off, Adrian College assumes no responsibility for any loss, theft, or responsibility of any kind.
Are candles allowed?
We allow only flameless candles.
How far in advance do you need our final headcount?
Two weeks
Are outside snacks and trays permitted?
Outside food and drink are permitted.
What is the event clean-up process?
You will be responsible for linen removal, and cleanup of tables and kitchen. Trash removal will need to be placed in a receptacle right outside the kitchen door. You are also responsible for taking all your personal items and or wedding decor you brought in. The Adrian College staff will handle cleaning the restrooms and floor-sweeping. Our staff will also take care of the tables and chairs.
What are the parking options?
There are fourteen spots in front of the Boathouse and five additional spots below by the boat bay. Additional parking is available across the street in the grass area and in front of the professional building for guests.
