“Preceptors supervise and engage students in clinical education. All preceptors must be licensed healthcare professionals and be credentialed by the state in which they practice” (2020 CAATE Standards).
To improve the quality of athletic training student clinical experiences, each preceptor is hand selected and trained by our Coordinator of Clinical Education. This ensures that all preceptors are very familiar with the philosophy of our program and how to maximize our athletic training students’ education. We hold regular meetings for our preceptors to make sure that they are up-to-date on the latest treatment and educational techniques.
