The 100% online Master of Science in Accountancy program is designed for students who have developed a solid knowledge of accounting theory and application in their undergraduate accounting degree program.

During the program, students are strongly encouraged to participate in a CPA examination review course and sit for their professional examinations.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

The curriculum is offered in four (eight-week) modules that mirror the four sections of the CPA exam. These modules are designed to cover the information included in each section of the CPA exam and incorporate a CPA review course. The State of Michigan and many other states require 150 hours of college/university credit hours to become a CPA. However, Michigan allows candidates to take the CPA exam after completion of the bachelor’s degree. Therefore, students can take each part of the CPA exam after completing the applicable module.

By enrolling in the Master of Science in Accountancy program, students who desire to enter the CPA profession will expand on their practical knowledge, be fully prepared for the CPA examination, and increase their marketability to potential employers.
