Religions of the East
A three-credit introductory level course offered each spring.
. Emphasis is on the development of higher order thinking skills particularly as they relate to moving students toward an empathetic view of the sacred traditions included in the course.
Extensive use of group work focuses on collaborative learning. This technique is based on the pedagogical assumption that students learn more when they are actively engaged in the production of their own learning.
