The New Ridge Student Center

"It was so helpful for the students to be involved with the architects when they were drafting the blueprints for the student center. Who better to decide what it should be composed of than the students?" Pat Kilbane, 2000-2001 SGA President

The student center in Ridge will be an exciting new facility at Adrian College that is designed to meet the changing needs of the students of today and tomorrow. Its greatest strength? Its versatility. From hosting student organizations, to creating opportunities for informal socialization, the student center will serve the entire campus. Take a look, and you'll begin to understand our enthusiasm.

A great place to gather
The new student center will provide an exceptional location for students to get together 24 hours a day. Beneath an open atrium equipped with an elevator and surrounded by balconies, students will enjoy an alternative eating area with canopied tables. There will also be a variety of casual, comfortable seating areas.

Spaces for teaching and learning
New art studios will open to the sunken floor and the atrium, and the College newspaper and College radio station will be on site. And in keeping with Adrian's educational philosophy of learning both in and out of the classroom, there will be an improved 24-hour computer lab, space for quiet study, and a variety of excellent meeting areas.

Community partnership
The student center will be available for private or public use. It will provide thousands of square feet of excellent space for conferences and meetings. This opportunity for partnership will strengthen the College's relationship with its community.
