Confidentiality Notice
All Health Services records
are confidential. Safeguarding students’
medical information is not only a legal requirement,
but also an important ethical obligation.
No one will have access to health records
without the written consent of the student,
including their parents/guardians, if the
student is of legal age (18 years or older).
Information from a student’s health
record will not be disclosed except in cases
of extreme urgency where there is an obvious
“need to know”, such as in cases
of injury to themselves or others or as required
by law. Students have the right to access
their personally identifiable medical files
and have the right to correct or remove any
inaccurate, irrelevant or out-of-date information.
