Latting The
brothers of Phi Kappa Sigma would like to welcome
new and returning members of the Adrian College
community. Phi Kappa Sigma has and always will
give young men an opportunity to excel scholastically,
culturally, socially and athletically. Phi Kappa
Sigma is located at 1234 Williams Street, across
from Ridge Student Center (white house).
Phi Kappa Sigma was established
by Samuel Brown Wylie Mitchell at the University
of Pennsylvania on August 16, 1850. Phi Kappa
Sigma was and still is the only fraternity with
a college or university named after it: Phi
Kappa Sigma Male College was established by
James W. Barrow in Monticello, Arkansas in 1859.
The Adrian College chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma
originally began as Delta Theta fraternity.
Negotiations ceased with Delta Theta and the
brothers came in contact with James Welch who
led them down the correct path towards membership
into Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. more
