Chapel & Worship
Services
View Weekly Chapel Schedule
Weekly
chapel services are held most Wednesdays at
Noon in the College Chapel. Worship services
are open and ecumenical gatherings in the
Christian tradition. People from all denominations
are welcome. Chapel services are typically
about 45 minutes long. They include contemporary
and traditional music (led by a student “Praise
Team”), prayer, Scripture reading and
a short message or homily. Faculty and staff
members also attend. Each semester the students
of the Religious Life Council select a theme
for Wednesday Chapel and post the schedule
on a flyer.
Chaplain
Chris Momany offers Holy Communion several
times throughout the year, usually during
special evening services. Catholic Mass is
celebrated on campus monthly.
The
Valade Hall Meditation Chapel is located across
from the Chaplain’s Office and is open
each day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. This more
intimate worship space is often used for Communion/Mass
and is available for personal or small-group
times of prayer.
Because
weekly Chapel services take place on Wednesdays,
students are free and encouraged to participate
in local church ministries on the weekends.
Several Adrian College students lead worship
in local churches, teach church school, guide
youth ministries, and contribute in other
ways.
