Bulldogs fall in regular-season finale

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College women’s soccer team lost in their regular-season finale on Wednesday evening, 0-1, to Anderson University.

The Bulldogs outshot the visitors, 8-4, but were unable to get past AU goalkeeper Tarah Novak. Reshia Jamison and Amanda House combine for two saves in goal for AC, but Ruthie Castor’s goal in the 23rd minute was the game-winner.

Anderson had six corner kicks to Adrian’s one, and committed two fouls to five for the Bulldogs.

Adrian finishes the regular season 5-12-1, ranked sixth in the MIAA. The Bulldogs will travel to third-ranked Hope on Saturday at noon.

Adrian defeated Hope in their regular-season match-up, 1-0, on Sept. 23 at the Performance Stadium.
