Bulldog women’s picks up win over Warriors

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College women’s soccer team defeated the visiting Rochester College Warriors on Wednesday by a score of 3-0.

Adrian got on the scoreboard early when Katie Williams scored a goal off of a give-and-go with Kelley Hutchins in the sixth minute of the game. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead into the half before scoring two more goals in the second period.

Melonie Rederstorf fed the ball over the Warrior defense to Bethany Cousino, who finished the ball for the game's second goal in the 49th minute. Cousino then added another goal when she found the back of the net unassisted in the 60th minute of play.

The Bulldogs maintained control of the ball for the majority of the game, not allowing the Warriors to take a shot in the contest. Amanda House picked up the shut-out victory in goal.

Adrian is now 3-6-1 on the year. They will next travel to Tri-State University on Saturday for a noon kick off.
