Bulldog women’s soccer drops game at Alma

ALMA, Mich.—The Adrian College women’s soccer team fell at Alma College on Saturday afternoon, 1-2.

Adrian’s Lindsay Chitwood scored her fifth goal of the season to open the scoring with the Alma goalkeeper out of the box in the 12th minute. The Scots, however, answered with a Rachel Comfort goal at the 29-minute mark, and a Tara Fitzsimons score in the 51st minute.

AC had five corner kicks to Alma’s four, and out shot the hosts, 8-6. The Bulldogs were called for eight fouls to Alma’s six.

Adrian is now 3-7 on the year and 1-1 in the MIAA. They will next travel to Bethel College on Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. kick off.
