AC Women’s Soccer drops opener

Grove City, Penn.-- The Adrian College women’s soccer team lost their 2007 season opener to Grove City by a score of 2-1.

The host Wolverines got on the board in the 5th minute when Stephanie Wilde finished a corner kick from teammate Elyse Bender. The Bulldogs tied up the game in the 12th minute when sophomore forward Lindsay Chitwood converted a penalty kick for the season's first goal. Bender scored a goal of her own later in the first half to clinch the game for Grove City.
