ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College volleyball team advanced to the semi-finals of the MIAA Tournament with a 3-0 sweep of Tri-State University at the Merillat Center on Tuesday evening.

In the 30-16, 30-21, 30-24 win, Lindsey Eshelman and Abby Sikora each led AC with nine kills. Sikora also led in assists with 32, aces with three, and added 10 digs in her final home game. Samantha Mercy had 16 digs to lead the Bulldogs, while Lucie Smith had seven kills. Holly Pellegrin and Sara Morningstar each totaled six kills.

The Thunder were led by Sallie Richardson’s seven kills.

TSU ends their season at 9-20 overall.

The Bulldogs, 18-8 overall, will travel to Calvin College for the remainder of the single-elimination tournament.

AC will face Hope College in their semi-final match. The Bulldogs split with the Flying Dutch in the regular season with each team winning on the other team’s home floor.

Top-ranked Calvin College will face the winner of tonight’s Alma/Saint Mary’s match.
