Adrian VB wins in five over Tri-State

ANGOLA, Ind.—The Adrian College volleyball team pulled out a 3-2 victory at Tri-State University on Tuesday evening.

After running away with game one, 30-17, the Bulldogs were outlasted in the second game, 35-33. They fell hard in game three, 30-16, but took game four 30-22. In the deciding game five, the Bulldogs scored when they had to, earning a 15-13 win.

Lindsey Eshelman led Adrian in kills with 15, while Courtney Smith had a team-high 35 assists. Samantha Mercy had a great game with 32 digs. Jessica Beckman, Lucie Smith and Sara Morningstar also had double-digit kills in the five-game affair.

Beckman and Courtney Smith had 18 and 12 digs, respectively, while Abby Sikora had 18 assists and 11 digs.

The Bulldogs are now 13-7 on the season and 8-3 in the MIAA. They will next play at Alma College on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
