Bulldog VB wins two MIAA games

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College volleyball team won two MIAA games on Friday to improve to 11-6 on the season and 4-2 in the league, defeating Albion and Saint Mary’s College at the Merillat Center.

In their first game, the Bulldogs downed Albion in three straight; 30-21, 30-18, 30-20. Lindsey Eshelman led AC with nine kills, while Abby Sikora had 28 assists and Samantha Mercy had 14 digs.

The Bulldogs took care of Saint Mary’s College in the late game in four games; 30-24, 19-30, 30-21, 30-14. Eshelman led again in kills with 18, while Jessica Beckman added 12. Sikora again led the team with 49 and Mercy, likewise, led the way in digs with 25. Sara Morningstar totaled blocks in the two contests.

Saint Mary’s defeated Albion, 3-1 in the middle game.

The Bulldogs will next travel to Albion on Wednesday night to face the Britons at 7 p.m.
