Bulldogs pick up wins over Olivet, Kalamazoo

OLIVET, Mich.—The Adrian College volleyball team went on the road to defeat Olivet College and Kalamazoo College on Saturday at the Olivet Triangular.

The Bulldogs defeated the host Comets, 3-0 (30-24, 30-16, 30-24), in the first match of the day. Jenny Carlson led the offense with 11 kills while Samantha Mercy had a game-high 17 digs on defense for the Bulldogs.

In their second match of the day, the Bulldogs beat the Kalamazoo College Hornets, 3-1 (30-16, 27-30, 30-15, 30-25). Three Bulldogs had 10+ kills on the day - Lindsey Eshelman (19), Jenny Carlson (13), and Sara Morningstar (10). Six Bulldogs had at least 14 digs in the victory as well with Samantha Mercy leading the way again with 27.

The Bulldogs are now 11-6 on the year, 8-1 in the MIAA. Adrian will travel to Saint Mary's on Tuesday, October 2 for a 7 p.m. match.
