Bulldogs drop four matches at Border Battle
Jenny Carlson named to All-Tournament Team

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—The Adrian College volleyball team fell to 6-6 overall at the Wittenberg Border Battle Tournament this past weekend.

The annual match-up between teams from Ohio against teams from the MIAA was full of nationally ranked squads. In the first match of the weekend, the Bulldogs faced the #1 Wittenberg Tigers. The Bulldogs lost 0-3 (15-30, 18-30, 18-30) to the top Division III team in the country. Later that night, AC lost 1-3 (30-25, 21-30, 22-30, 28-30) to Mount St. Joseph.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs faced more tough competition. The Bulldogs dropped an 0-3 decision to Baldwin-Wallace by scores of 22-30, 28-30, 21-30. In the final match of the weekend, AC played another nationally-ranked team in Ohio Northern (#18). The Polar Bears beat the Bulldogs in four sets by scores of 22-30, 30-28, 28-30, 15-30.

The Adrian College volleyball team is next in action on Saturday, September 22. They will travel to Alma College for a noon MIAA match.
