Beckman leads AC to win over Capital
Polar Bears down Bulldogs (game 2)

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—The Adrian College volleyball team improved to 5-3 on the season with a 3-1 win over Capital University on Friday afternoon at the Wittenberg Border Battle Tournament.

In the 30-28, 30-25, 21-30, 30-22 win, Jessica Beckman, a junior from Napoleon, led the Bulldogs with 21 kills and 28 digs. Fellow junior Lindsey Eshelman, from Adrian, added 22 kills and 20 digs. Abby Sikora, a senior from Ceresco, led AC in assists with 50, while Kacie Ehinger, a senior from Adrian, and Stephanie Asmus, a sophomore from Haskins, Ohio added 19 and 22 digs, respectively.

Adrian will face Ohio Northern University at 5 p.m. today in the second round of the tournament.
