Assistant Coach Gary Labonte
Gary Labonte is in his first year as the assistant track and field/cross country coach at Adrian College. Labonte most recently served as the assistant track and field/cross country assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Findlay, while obtaining his master’s degree in Education from UF.

As an assistant coach at Findlay, he worked primarily with the sprinters and hurdlers, using filming software to evaluate their biomechanics. He was a two-time All-American sprinter at Findlay, and holds the school record in the indoor 500-meters.

Prior to returning to Findlay, he was the head track and field coach at Tourtellotte Memorial High School in Connecticut and the head cross country coach at Thompson Middle School, also in Connecticut.

Labonte earned his Level 1 USATF coaching certification in 2005, and has been a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist since 2003.

Labonte graduated from UF in 2003 with a B.S. in Strength and Conditioning.
