Bulldog Track teams split double dual with TSU and OC
Calley wins 200 in 23.38, Travis takes 3000 in 12:08

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Adrian College track and field squads hosted Tri-State University and Olivet College in an MIAA double-duel meet on Wednesday afternoon.

The Adrian women defeated Tri-State 110-52, while falling to Olivet 249-95. The Bulldog men also defeated Tri-State 239-209 and were downed by Olivet 316-209.

On the women’s side Hayden Ahrens took the 800-meter run in 2:42.12 and Sarah Muylle won the 1500 with a time of 5:39.03. Liesle Travis finished first in the 3000-meters in 12:08, while Amy Bodnar won the discus with a toss of 100’ 3”.

For the AC men, Chris Calley won the 200-meters in 23.38, followed closely by Desmond Upshaw who ended in 23.39. Neal Mossing won the 800-meters in 2:03.0, while Bob Palmer took the 5000-meters in 16:41.65. The 4x100 relay team of Patrick Reagan, Upshaw, Lamar Cardenas and Calley won with a time of 43.91. Jon Antal won the discus with a throw of 129’ 5’.

The Bulldog athletes will travel to the Manchester Invitational this Saturday (3/31) with field events starting at 11 a.m.
