PLACE 28TH AT NCAA REGIONALS

HANOVER,
Ind. – The Adrian College men’s
and women’s cross country teams both finished
28th in their respective races at the NCAA Great
Lakes Regional meet, hosted by Hanover College.
MIAA
school Calvin won the men’s team race with
17 points, finishing well ahead of second place
Heidelberg, which scored 119 points. Case Western
won the women’s race with 53 points, beating
out second place Calvin, which had 57 points.
The
Adrian women’s team scored 766 points, while
the men’s team finished with 778.
Bob
Palmer led the Adrian men, finishing 55th overall
with a time of 27:11.7. Neal Mossing placed 175th
with 29:32.3, while Brian Rider finished 177th
at 29:34.7. Dustin Dodge (184th, 29:49.1), Bryan
Cicerchi (187th, 29:58.3), Jay Yockey (196th,
30:24.2) and Joe Hart (203rd, 31:01.1) rounded
out the Bulldogs’ times.
Calvin
runners finished in the top four spots, with Tim
Finnegan placing first overall with a time of
25:25.9.
Kelsey
Miller placed 96th overall with a time of 25:14.6
to lead the Bulldogs in the women’s race.
Chelsey Berlin finished 121st at 25:44.9, while
Liesle Travis placed 159th with 26:51.9. Andrea
Fickenscher (187th, 28:25.5) and Jeanine Carpenter
(203rd, 30:46.8) rounded out Adrian’s times.
Kate
Wieferich from the College of Wooster took first
overall in the women’s race with a time
of 22:07.5.
