women’s runners take first at Alma
Invitational, men finish 3rd
ALMA,
Mich.—The
Adrian College women’s cross country
team took first at the Alma Invitational
on Friday, while the men’s squad took
third.
Chelsey
Berlin paced the Adrian women’s runners,
finishing second place with a time of 20:11.
Kelsey Miller was next with a time of 20:49,
good for fourth place.Laura Farnsell came
in eighth place at 21:16. In 10th and 12th
place respectively, were Liesle Travis and
Andrea Fickenscher, with times of 21:26
and 21:56. In 34th place was Jeanine Carpenter
who ran a 24:22.
For
the men, Bob Palmer finished second, running
a 26:55 in the 5K. Jacob Green ran 28:14
for 14th place, while Neal Mossing finished
19th with a time of 28:30. Joseph Hart and
Brian Rider finished back-to-back in 24th
and 25th place at 28:40 and 28:45, respectively.
Bryan Cicerchi ended in 29th place with
a time of 28:58.
The
Adrian College runners will next travel
back to Alma College on Oct. 25 for the
MIAA Championships starting at 11 a.m.
