The Adrian College Women’s
Tennis Team was awarded the 2007 ITA All-Academic
Team award. The ITA All-Academic Team award
is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative
team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on
a 4.00 scale).
"This is one of the most
prestigious awards that a team can be honored
with. It’s the women’s academic
dedication and diligence that make them such
admirable competitors and teammates," said
coach David Kurvink. “The women’s
tennis team was one of the 60 teams in the nation
at the Division III level to receive this award!"
Amanda Arnold, Kristina Baker, Emily Brede,
Leeann Brooks, Sandra Towler, and Karen Kruisenga
each received individual scholar athlete awards.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status
a player must be a varsity letter winner and
have a grade point average of at least a 3.50.
Men’s Tennis team members,
Seth Knowles and Daniel Krsteski also received
the individual scholar athlete awards for their
GPAs.
The Women's team also received
the MIAA Team GPA Award.
