Bulldogs outdone by Thunder, 8-1
Kruisenga earns fourth singles win

ANGOLA, Ind.— The Adrian College women’s tennis team fell 1-8 at Tri-State University on Monday afternoon.

Karen Kruisenga earned the lone Bulldog win with a 3-6, 7-6, 10-7 victory at fourth singles. Sandy Towler and Ellen Kroll nearly won at third doubles, before falling 8-9 (8-6). Towler took one set from Amanda Steiner at second singles, but fell 6-2, 1-6, 1-6.

The Bulldogs conclude the regular season with a 1-15 record overall and an 0-7 mark in the MIAA. The women’s tennis program earned its first win in three seasons this year when they beat NCAA-qualifier Manchester College on April 5.
